We have a new TV. It’s big. Very big. I love it.
Pretty Pretty Pretty!
Hail to the Skins. Whooohoooo. What a pretty game to watch. Yeah, I know that sounded totally girly and non-footballish but it just seemed to fit. It was such a nice change to see them working as a TEAM. Passing AND catching. Running AND holding onto the ball. Here’s hoping they can keep this momentum going into next week with the Eagles.
Wow. It’s December.
This year seems to have flown by. I can’t believe it. I need to get my butt in gear and get my shopping finished. Any ideas for my Uber Geek husband? Maybe I’ll get him a trenchcoat to keep all his electronic gadgets in. Go Go Gadget! Email me if you have sugestions!
Happy Thanksgiving
I meant to post this sooner but got busy. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate lots and lots of yummy food and spent time with family and friends.
Max just cashed in one of his lives today
Max, or Maximus as he is affectionately called (he’s fat), just used up a life today. I think this puts him at having only 5 or 6 left. Back in the spring I had my knee surgery and my knee still isn’t at 100%. It always gets sore before it rains. (I should be a meterologist!) Today it’s sore and I have a bajillion things I need to do this morning. I put brownies in the oven to take to our monthly MOMS club meeting and then was trying to herd Sara upstairs to get dressed so we could get out the door on time. Max likes to sleep on the stairs. Usually when he sees/hears someone coming, he’ll get up and move. This morning he heard me coming, opened one eye, gave me cattitude then proceeded to stretch his big ass body across the entire step causing me to miss-step and twist my knee. Pain shot through my knee and I bit my lip so Sara wouldn’t here a fountain of cuss words pouring out of my mouth. &$@!&^#^!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, we got dressed and ready and out the door in time for our meeting/luncheon and I am only slightly limping. Max is hiding. For once he smartened up.
Escaping Northern VA
Sara and I skipped town last Thursday for a few days. We headed down to my parents for a few days of R&R. Gramma and Granddaddy and Aunt Beth got to see Sara and I got a few “mommy breaks”. Beth and I even went to see a movie! Bridget Jones – The Edge of Reason”. Great chick flick.
Only bad part was driving home today. Interstate 95 is the worst. Between staying out of the way of the maniacs and having to rubberneck to get by an accident, I wised up and exited. God Bless backroads! Sara was happy – she got to see farms with horses and cows and I was able to relax the death grip I had on the steering wheel.
I think Eric enjoyed the break too. He got to sleep in and play on the computer without interruptions. Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Sleep? Ah, who needs it??
Apparently I don’t. I can’t recall the last time I actually had a good nights sleep. Sara has a nasty cold/cough and she’s kept both of us up the past few nights. Wonder why she thinks it’s ok to come in our room at 2:15AM, wake me up, and tell me it’s time to go downstairs for breakfast?! I am praying to the coffee god, Juan Valdez, this morning.
